Two double storey dwellings on a lot. The architectural style is of contemporary form, with a mixture of rendered masonry walls with lightweight cement sheet cladding to the upper levels. The built form is articulated with extensive glazed elements and the dwellings have a flat roof form.

 
 

Foam Street, Elwood

This contemporary development includes ground and first floor walls constructed of a combination of textured rendered masonry, face brick and vertical timber cladding, with a garage door integrated into the front façade with vertical timber cladding to match the façade treatment of the building. This type of development show cases the innovative nature of Urban Edge’s planning team, regarding the ability to respond to streetscapes in a creative manner.

Contemporary double storey addition to the rear of an existing single storey dwelling of Federation Queen Anne style. The addition is constructed using a mixed palette of materials, including face brick for the wall on the northern boundary to achieve continuity with the existing dwelling, and zinc cladding on the elevations of the addition. The addition is contained within an ‘envelope’ created by a line projecting 10º upwards from the base of the gutter line of the front façade in accordance with the City of Port Phillip’s Heritage Policy.

The addition is constructed using a mixed palette of materials, including a mixture of Alucobond cladding, Acrylic Render and Timber slat Cladding. The addition is contained within an ‘envelope’ created by a line projecting 10º upwards from the base of the gutter line of the front façade in accordance with the City of Port Phillip’s Heritage Policy.

Multi Storey mixed use building with commercial premises on ground floor and residential above. Located on Clarendon Street in South Melbourne on the cusp of the CBD.

 
 
 

1A Burgundy Street, Heidelberg

Multi storey residential development and associated basement car park. The building uses a strong compositional mix of materials. The primary volume of the building is seen as masonry with natural bagged articulated brickwork similar to the nearby church. The horizontal elements of the raised courtyards are finished in weathered zinc which provide a contrasting material, texture and colour. The roof form is natural zinc with the larger windows having deep reveals set in to the walls.
